I have a few “must haves” when it comes to beauty up keep.

One, being my nails. I get a shellac manicure every 3-4 weeks and I swear it makes all the difference. It really refines your whole appearance. PLUS the place I go (IVY NAILS) costs $20 for shellac removal and a fresh mani. That’s a steal.

Two,{ laser hair removal.} This is slightly expensive, but it is worth it because eventually you get to the point where it either : never grows back OR it grows back so much slower and fine that it’s a pinch to shave it.

Three, lash extensions. This is the newest edition for me and I am loving them.

Let’s go through the process.

First your bottom lashes have to be taped down, which is a strange experience but nothing more. Meaning it’s not painful or anything.

The lashes are then applied individually via a adhesive. For the initial application it takes around an hour and a half because it is very detailed work.

But you are left with beautiful lush lashes.

The particulars.

My nature lashes were 10mm on the outside and 8mm on the inside.{ Natalyia } applied 12mm lashes on the outside and 10 on the inner part of my lash line.

The cost. For the initial set it costs $150 ( it will depend on where you go but this was the cost of mine) . The refills are $50 each time.

The amount of time between refills will depend on a few factors. How fast your natural lashes grow and fall out / how often you cry / how often you wash your face / how often you swim / how often you put mascara over the lashes etc. It can be anywhere from 2-6 weeks.

I had to get mine refilled after four weeks, which I thought was ideal.

Lash Care

There are a few things to know when you get lash extensions.

//Try not to get them wet for the first 24 hours. This gives the adhesive a chance to truly dry.

//No oils! Oils break apart the adhesive, meaning the lashes will fall off. You shouldn’t really need to wear mascara anyways, but if you do make sure you use a makeup remover that is not oil based.

//You will receive a brush after they are applied. Make sure you brush you lashes at least a couples times per day.

That’s it! Simple and painless. Are there any other beauty or wellness topics you’d like me to write about? Let me know.
