A new week, a new dark and stormy smoothie. I become smoothie obsessed in the summer time & could literally have smoothies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Therefore, expect a few new smoothie recipes coming your way. Any requests? Let me know.
This one is very blueberry based. Hello antioxidants + brain boosting elements! & this girl loves antioxidants ( + needs some brain boosting once in a while). Think anti-aging and increased focus… a major thing I struggle with. I’m lucky if I can focus on one specific task for more than 20 minutes.
Dark and Stormy
Serving// 1 large serving or 2 small servings
1 cup blueberries
1 frozen banana
4 coconut milk ice cubes
1 heaping scoop vanilla protein powder (vegan)
2 tsp. collagen
* I keep coconut milk in ice cube trays, in the freezer 24/7. I love adding coconut milk ice cubes to smoothies.
Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth & enjoy!
Toppings are optional, but I topped mine with: more blueberries (obsessed) / chia seeds / shaved raw cacao butter.
